Terms and conditions for usage of IIUM ezPay portal application.

Below are the terms and conditions for use of IIUM ezPay, as well as your rights and responsibilities while accessing and using services on the IIUM ezPay platform. If you access the IIUM ezPay platform, you acknowledge and agree that the terms and conditions are binding on you and constitute an agreement between you as the user, the department that are party to this and us, for such access and/or use of this IIUM ezPay platform.

Your continued use and/or access to the IIUM ezPay services will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any passwords associated with any account being used to access or use IIUM ezPay and you will be solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You are responsible to notify the university immediately in the event you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.

Please read the terms and conditions carefully before using our online payment facility. Using the online payment facility on this website indicates that you accept these terms conditions.

All payments are subject to the following conditions:

  • All amount quoted are in MYR - Malaysian Ringgit.
  • IIUM ezPay will not accept liability for a payment not reaching the correct university / branch account due to you quoting an incorrect account number or incorrect personal details or wrong selection of category of payment. Neither can we accept liability if payment is refused or declined by the credit/debit card supplier for any reason.
  • If the card supplier / e-wallets provider declines payment, the IIUM ezPay is under no obligation to bring this fact to your attention. You should check with your bank/credit/debit card supplier / service provider if that payment has been deducted from your account.
  • Your payment basically will reach the university / branch account to which you are making a payment within the same day. However, your statement ledger or online statement will be updated within one (1) to three (3) working days.

You will receive a confirmation of your payment on your screen after you make the payment. You will need to print out the proof of payment once your transaction has completed successfully.

The proof of payment cannot be used as an official receipt. The official receipt will be generated automatically through IIUM ezPay if the payment is successful and will sent to your email within 2-3 working days. Should you do not receive the official receipt within the stipulated time, kindly contact us.

Each department under IIUM that is participating within IIUM ezPay portal application might practice different set of refund policies. Should you have any queries regarding excess payment, please liaise with the relevant department with proof of payment information.

All transactions and payment details through the IIUM ezPay platform comply with data encryption standards. The University will not be held responsible for any failure by you or a third party making payment to protect the on-screen data from being seen by other individuals or obtained by such individuals, during the online payment process or pertaining to any omission of accurate information in the course of the online payment process.

You expressly understand and agree that the we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, good will or other tangible losses resulting from:

  • Use or inability to use this service;
  • Cost of procurement of goods and services following the purchase of any goods, data, information or services or substitute or messages received or transactions made through or from this platform;
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of transmission or your data;
  • Statements or actions by a third party in this platform;
  • Inability to use, or as a result of use of this platform, any medium linked to this platform, or materials or information contained on any or all such websites, whether based on warranty, contract, tort or any other legal theory and whether or not informed of the possibility of such damage;
  • the disclosure of your credit or debit card details to any unauthorised person;
  • any unauthorised use of your credit or debit card and/or the cards’ details; and/or
  • any error in the instructions given by you during the course of transmission; and/or
  • Any other matters pertaining to this platform

The University may terminate your access to any part or all of the services and any related services at any time, with or without reason, with or without notice, with immediate effect when the university deems it necessary to undertake such action. The University may also terminate or suspend your account for inactivity, which is defined as failure to use this service for an extended period. You agree that we are not liable to you or any third party for the termination of access to this service.

The University reserves the right at all times to vary, modify, delete or add to these terms and conditions by giving prior notice. You further agree and accept that continued access and the use of the terms and conditions will amount to your acceptance of any variations, modifications, deletions or additions to these terms and conditions.

By using our IIUM ezPay portal, you hereby agree to our IIUM ezPay platform privacy policy.

The University reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the service (or any part thereof) with or without notice. You agree that IIUM will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension or termination of its service.

The headings used under these terms and conditions are only for reference and shall be considered in the interpretation of these terms and conditions. In the event any provision of these terms and conditions are against the law or are invalid under current or future laws, such provision will be isolated and these terms and conditions will be interpreted as though the invalid provision had never compromised part of these Terms and Conditions and the remaining provisions under these Terms and Conditions shall remain in full effect and shall not be affected by the illegal or invalid provision
